Current process description
The Cobit 2019 International Certification Course is designed to provide participants with deep knowledge about the principles and structure of the 2019 framework, used for IT governance and management in organizations.
Following the practical Learning Method methodology, students will not only acquire theoretical knowledge, but will apply Cobit 2019 in a simulated environment through workshops, laboratories and the development of a real project.
The course is structured in seven modules that cover from the introduction to governance frameworks to the implementation and monitoring of IT governance systems.
At the end, participants will be prepared for COBIT 2019 Foundation certification and have acquired practical skills to apply these concepts in their organizations.
Objectives
At the end of the course, participants can:
- Understand COBIT 2019: its principles, evolution and key differences between governance and IT management.
- Apply COBIT in different sectors: adapting its principles to sectors such as financial, public and cybersecurity.
- Explore its structure and components: including governance objectives, design and integration factors with IT.
- Evaluate risks and compliance: Understanding their relationship with regulations such as ISO 27001, ITI and NIST.
- Develop a practical case: Applying Cobit 2019 in the planning and improvement of IT governance in a real or simulated company.
Under the practical Learning Method, students will not memorize information, but will apply it in a simulated work environment, ensuring a better retention and applicability of the knowledge acquired.
Prerequisites
To take this course, participants must meet the following requirements:
- Basic knowledge in information technology and management of IT processes.
- Familiarity with concepts of governance and organizational management.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate best strategic alignment practices with business objectives.
Note: The experience in ITS reference frames is desirable, but not mandatory.
