The Network and Telecommunications Technician + Cisco CCNA International Certification is designed to develop specific skills in the implementation, administration, and support of data networks, both in local and enterprise environments. It is geared towards training professionals capable of working with network infrastructure, Cisco equipment, and current telecommunications technologies. This technician is intended for those who wish to design, configure, and troubleshoot computer networks, work with structured cabling, manage interconnection devices such as routers, switches, and access points, and gain a deep understanding of the protocols that enable communication between systems. Furthermore, it is aimed at individuals interested in working with Linux operating systems to manage essential services on workstations and servers.
Objectives
- Develop the skills necessary to install, configure, and manage data networks in LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments. - Understand and apply the fundamentals of digital communication, OSI and TCP/IP models, essential protocols, and encapsulation processes. - Configure and operate Cisco devices using IOS and CLI, including routers, switches, and access points. - Implement IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, subnetting, VLSM, static routes, and dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF. - Manage switching technologies such as VLANs, trunking, inter-VLAN routing, STP, and EtherChannel for network segmentation and efficiency. - Develop network troubleshooting and diagnostic skills using structured methods and tools such as ping, traceroute, Syslog, NTP, and SNMP. - Apply basic and advanced network security measures, including ACLs, NAT, PAT, port protection, and mitigation of common threats. - Interpret, build, and evaluate physical and logical topologies according to enterprise cabling and communication standards. - Understand modern concepts such as virtualization, automation, SDN, cloud computing, and advanced Cisco architectures like SD-WAN and Cisco DNA Center. -To ensure that the graduate has the necessary foundation for the Cisco CCNA international certification.
Prerequisites
- Photocopy of high school diploma or transcript, or, failing that, ninth grade certificate. - Photocopy of citizenship card or identity card (if the person to be enrolled is a minor, the guardian's card is required and this person must accompany the minor during enrollment). - Photocopy of EPS or SISBEN card or certification - Two 3×4 photos with a white background.
