This program is designed to provide advanced knowledge in project management with P6 Professional spring, covering from the creation of work breakdown structures (WBS) to the allocation of resources, cost control and project performance analysis. The course prepares participants to obtain international certification:

• Spring P6 2021 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (1Z0-129)
• This program is aimed at engineers, architects, technicians and technologists responsible for planning, organizing and managing projects in different sectors, with emphasis on integration with business work methodologies

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Data management and initial configuration
• Understand the data structure and software components
• Create and configure a project in spring P6
• Define and organize the work breakdown structure (WBS)
• Activity management and project programming
• Add activities and assign work calendars
• Create relationships between activities and define restrictions
• Format and organize data on the schedule
• Apply advanced programming and project control techniques
• Resource and cost allocation
• Assign and define roles and resources in the project
• Optimize the allocation of resources and level workloads
• Analyze costs and manage project cost accounts
• Project monitoring and control
• Execute the project and monitor in real time
• Calculate progress percentage and manage changes in the schedule
• Use Earned Value Management metrics (EVM)
• Perform resources analysis, workload and project performance
• Report generation and project evaluation
• Create performance reports with Wizard Report
• Export and interpret costs, resources and progress
• Use graphics and diagrams of temporary logic for decision making

To participate in this training, attendees must meet the following requirements:

• Basic knowledge in project management
• Familiarity with project planning and programming tools
• Experience in project management methodologies such as PMI, Agile or Scrum
• These requirements guarantee that participants can focus on the advanced spring application P6 without initial technical difficulties

Learning Methodology

The learning methodology, regardless of the modality (in-person or remote), is based on the development of workshops or labs that lead to the construction of a project, emulating real activities in a company.

The instructor (live), a professional with extensive experience in work environments related to the topics covered, acts as a workshop leader, guiding students' practice through knowledge transfer processes, applying the concepts of the proposed syllabus to the project.

The methodology seeks that the student does not memorize, but rather understands the concepts and how they are applied in a work environment.

As a result of this work, at the end of the training the student will have gained real experience, will be prepared for work and to pass an interview, a technical test, and/or achieve higher scores on international certification exams.
